TAP INTO YOUR WRITING MAGIC
Writing is hard.
It’s difficult to face the blank page, to develop plot, to hit character arcs, to query, to go on sub, and everything in between. We are also balancing all other parts of life, often writing into the late hours of the night or at the break of dawn. But it’s worth it to experience that feeling when the story flows.
Channeling Story consists of three series that will help you get into that flow state with ease, to find calm amongst chaos, and to uncover more story magic within you than you even realized you had.
“Julia whisks you away into a world of glittering darkness, where you‘ll be caught between intrigue and terror as you peel back layer after layer of her story and characters. Just when you catch your breath, she‘ll surprise you with another twist. With vibrant prose she brings characters to life that will leave you feeling haunted after you close the book.”

For Writers
Here are a few of the things I wish I had in my writer’s toolbox when I got started.
Please remember- your process is UNIQUE TO YOU!
It takes a lot of trial and error to discover which resources work best for you. Have fun with it, and I hope a few will spark that little nugget of inspiration that I know is inside you!
Resources
Community
Community is a huge support as a writer! Start using hastags like #amwriting and #findmywritingcommunity, follow authors and readers that like the same genre as you, go to book festivals like Yallfest… put yourself out there! DM a fellow writer, offer to trade a few pages, talk craft! Trust me, everyone is going through the same things you are (hello imposter syndrome!). DM me on Instagram if you’d like to connect!
Masterclass Membership
Access classes from authors like Neil Gaiman, Dan Brown and R.L. Stine (Neil Gaiman’s class in particular was life changing for me).
Books on Writing
Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody (my personal favorite)
Fictionary
Fictionary is unlike any other writing software I’ve seen. You can build your world scene by scene in the most intricate ways with an interface that keeps everything organized beautifully— for writing and revising.
I pray that not a single soul checks my search history… writing about death can get pretty dark…
Agents & Authors
Check out some of your favorite agent and author Instagram highlights! They often share their process, their exciting moments and tips they’ve learned along the way on their own writing journey.
BOOKS!
Gobble up all the books in your genre that you can! I listen to a lot on Audible. The more you read the better the writer you become! You can also dive into non-fiction books to really ground yourself in details that will inform your writing.
