“Julia Jackson is a rare talent: her voice is unique, her characters are vivid, and her passion is visible in every word she writes. She knows how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat and keep them hooked with every twist and turn. I can’t wait for the rest of the world to read her writing and see how much she brings to the table!”

Meet the Author

After a near-fatal car accident, Julia turned to writing as part of recovery and now crafts chilling stories that strip away the masks young women wear, revealing emotional depth and damage. She’s had more surgeries than Frankenstein, is a creature of the night like Batman, and creates memorable heroes and monsters of her own.

As she battled with post traumatic vision syndrome and a brain injury, she was unable to read. This made her more determined than ever to regain her love of reading and writing. So, she dedicated herself to learning about the brain and mindfulness as well as her craft through many courses, therapies, and practices. Mindfulness was a game changer for Julia’s writing and recovery, and she is now sharing the doors she unlocked with others.

Julia studied YA fiction at the University of Toronto, is an alumnus of Adrienne Young’s Writing with the Soul and attended Query Camp. Her writing is featured in Gone by Morning, an international horror anthology, as well as various municipal publications.

Julia lives in a small farming community north of Toronto with her husband, who is a special education teacher, their free spirited six-year-old, Nova, and two boston terriers, Nucky and Eli.
